Mission Possible: Stakeholder Alignment

Stakeholder alignment is rarely easy but always worth the challenge. Here Kristina Halvorson shares a slide deck of tools to help you succeed.

Mission Possible: Stakeholder Alignment

In content strategy, it can be a huge struggle getting everyone working from the same playbook. Why are we creating this content? Who is it for? Who is accountable for its success?

To get to stakeholder alignment, we don’t need to rely solely on our persuasive powers. There are tools that can help groups set individual agendas aside and focus on building shared standards and strategy.

In December 2017, I shared some of my own methods for getting people on the same page in any project or team setting at An Event Apart in Denver. While the talk isn’t specifically about content strategy (OMG HOW OFF-BRAND), it focuses on some of the key tools content strategists use in our day-to-day work: project preparation, stakeholder interviews, articulating strategy, and navigating conflict.

Here are the slides from this talk. Enjoy!
